[There's a cute pink box with an amulet inside. The card says "Happy Belated Birthday". Homura leaves it for Madoka on the side of the bed so she can find it when she wakes up.
She herself is in the kitchen, reading something and drinking tea.]
[Madoka still hesitates when she reaches out to take the box. Mochi walks in, having heard that she's awake and jumps to purr and cuddle all over Madoka, who smiles gently and softly as she pets the cute kitten.]
Good morning, Mochi. Is Homura-chan awake already?
[or more like is she somewhere in the apartment but whatever. Not like Madoka is expecting the kitten to answer anything, she just loves talking to everyone including animals!!]

[Homura got Madoka a present of a huge kitten plushie, as well some very cute hair accessories. The most important, though, is the message attached to the kitten plushies ribbon.
It says
"Madoka, I want to ask you something. Whenever you're ready. - Homura"]
[Homura is setting up a Cat Changing Tree (A cat tree for your pets or companion creatures that rearranges itself every so often so it won't get boring.) as well as twopurchases from the charity auction into their living room before Madoka comes home.
The cats are very interested in the box the cat tree came in, of course.]
